Service & Programs

Local Area Agencies on Aging provide information and education about care options for older Iowans, persons with disabilities and their caregivers allowing them to remain in their homes regardless of income or preparing for other long-term care options. Those programs and services are:

Case Management 

  • Assessment of individual needs
  • Assistance with public programs
  • Coordination of home based services needed
  • Discussion of support options

Information and Assistance

  • Trained and certified specialists will assess, coordinate and offer services to older Iowans 60 and over, persons age 18 and over with disabilities and their caregivers

Iowa Family Caregiver Program

  • The Iowa Family Caregiver Program has information and resources that assist the person providing care. 
  • Trained and certified Family Caregiver Specialists will listen to requests or concerns and provide information and appropriate resources.
